She was amidst the clouds, so soft, so fluffy, so white. The winds were teasing her, playing merrily with her feathers. The sky seemed to welcome her into its blue farms. The sun warmed her and wore off her shivering cold.
She was happy. She was flying. Her wings were not too strong, but enough for the flight. A part of her soul was overjoyed, and yet, a part of her soul ached. She knew it was too good to be true. Her destiny couldn’t have turned tables on her circumstances so soon. She knew her fate didn’t really favor her enough to let this be true.
And, sooner than she had anticipated, the universe had conspired to turn her joy into mere dissatisfaction. The master hit her tail with a stick and her dream of the soft, fluffy clouds immediately shattered.
